Navigating the Future: WMU’s Vision for Sustainable Maritime and Ocean Practices
The World Maritime University (WMU) is a postgraduate and research university located in Malmö, established in 1983 by the International Maritime Organization, a specialized agency of the United Nations.
This seminar aims to highlight WMU’s pivotal role in maritime and ocean research and education, showcasing innovative solutions and sustainable practices, as well as capacity building. The seminar will focus on the university’s approaches to the blue economy, innovative technologies in next-generation shipping, and strategies to combat IUU (Illegal, Unreported, and Unregulated) fishing.
